I am a beginner, windows 7 64bit, using Consulo for Unity. I started with Consulo a couple years ago because Visual Studio didnt like that I keep my dev computer off the internet. Despite being free, I guess it needed to phone home or whatever nonsense from time to time. I refused to put my dev machine online, and monodev has a lot of problems, mostly visual and workflow for me personally, but at the time it was really slow too.
Fortunatley I found out about Consulo and it worked great. I especially appreciate the code completion, the ability to see see references to functions and variables in the scrollbar simply by clicking on them, and that the ui themes are fully functional unlike in the monodev that comes with unity.
Having trouble when I tried to update, none of the plugins will install. I went to the Consulo Github and downloaded all the zips I need for unity to work, you know like CSharpMaster.zip, but no matter what I do, it says “Fail to load plugin descriptor from file…”
A few years ago when I first got Consulo, I remember having to install plugins from the wizard thing that is in Consulo itself, using a computer that DID have internet access, and then just copying everything to a flash drive. Do I REALLY havew to do this again? I have to be doing something wrong, right?
Thanks for making this great tool, and for helping a dummy out.
I also tried downloading them from here:
but I can only get the main program to download, none of the plugins download when I click any of the builds (1874 etc)
